Genus
Caledonomorpha
10 species
*Caledonomorpha* W.Horn, 1897 is a small, poorly known genus of tiger beetles endemic to New Caledonia, one of the most geographically isolated cicindelid radiations in the Australasian region. These medium-sized, metallic beetles favour compacted laterite soils and clay pans, venturing out under cover of darkness as nocturnal hunters. With approximately four species, *Caledonomorpha* represents a modest but distinctive lineage whose subtribal placement within Prothymina remains debated.
Diagnosis
DIAGNOSIS — *Caledonomorpha* W.Horn, 1897. Body 10–17 mm, depressed-flattened habitus. Coloration metallic. Eyes large, protuberant. Labrum transverse. Pronotum present; hind wings fully developed.
