Homodela

Overview

Hidden among the bare sandy and clay-loam substrates of Anatolian shores, *Homodela* Rivalier, 1950 is a small, metallic tiger beetle genus endemic to Turkey. Its single species, active by night, traces the dune crests of northern and western Anatolia. Fully winged and clad in iridescent hues, *Homodela* exemplifies the stripped-down elegance of a genus refined to one survivor.
