DIAGNOSIS — *Distipsidera* Westwood, 1837 Body medium (8–14 mm), elongate-cursorial habitus. Head wider than pronotum; eyes large, protuberant.
Similar taxa: Resembles *Abroscelis*, *Antennaria*, *Archidela*
Etymology
From Greek *dípsa* (thirst) + a stem possibly invoking *dérē* (neck) — Westwood's coined name; refers to a particular cuticular character.
