Diagnosis & identification
Sri Lanka endemic; dark brown elytra with 2 prominent oval chrome-yellow lateral spots NOT touching lateral edge; head+pronotum dorsally shiny copper-brown with lateral bluish-green margin; pronotum sparsely setose anterolaterally. Total 9.8 mm; labrum pale brown anteriorly darkened, 6 setae, 1.1 mm wide. Rediscovered 2015 after 107 years (original 1904). Short flight response; diurnal; lagoon-edge scrub habitat.

Named after Jansen (collector or person honoured).
