This diagnosis describes the genus Neocollyris, not the individual species. Species-level characters are not yet recorded.

DIAGNOSIS — Neocollyris W. Horn, 1901 Body 8–16 mm, strongly elongate with ant-mimicking habitus.

Similar taxa: Resembles *Collyris*, *Protocollyris*, *Tricondyla*

Etymology

From Greek *néos* (new) + Collyris — "new Collyris" (modern revision separating from historical Collyris s.l.).
