DIAGNOSIS — *Trichodela* Basilewsky, 1953 Body small to medium (7–12 mm), elongate-cursorial habitus. Head wider than pronotum; eyes large, protuberant.
Similar taxa: Resembles *Ambalia*, *Bennigsenium*, *Calyptoglossa*
Etymology
From Greek *thríx/trichós* (hair) + Cicindel- stem — "hairy tiger beetle".
