Genus
Odontocheila
91 species
*Odontocheila* Laporte de Castelnau, 1834 is the largest genus of subtribe Odontocheilina, with around 105 species distributed across Neotropical forests. These robust, 10–16 mm beetles are nocturnal hunters of forest floors and edges, recognisable by their distinctively toothed labrum — the origin of the genus name.
Diagnosis
DIAGNOSIS — *Odontocheila* Laporte de Castelnau, 1834. Body 10–16 mm, robust. Toothed elytral/labral margins; labrum sexually dimorphic. Separated from congeners by aedeagal morphology and body proportions.
