Diagnosis & identification
Taenidia group. SMALLEST Cephalota (9.1–9.8 mm). Pronotum WIDER THAN LONG (unique in deserticola-group). First antennomere with multiple setae DISTRIBUTED along segment (not confined to distal end — unique in group; similar only to C. circumdata and C. eiselti). Only 2 specimens known (holotype ♂ + paratype ♀). Kazakhstan only.
Similar taxa: Resembles *Calomera*, *Cicindela*, *Cosmodela*
Etymology
From Greek *kephalḗ* (head) + suffix -ota — "head-bearing" or "head-prominent".
