DIAGNOSIS — Cylindera Westwood, 1831 Body 6–13 mm, elongate-cylindrical habitus. Distinguished from Cicindela s.str., Calomera, Lophyra, Myriochila, Parvindela, Cicindelidia by aedeagal morphology. [inherited from species]

Etymology

From Greek/Latin *cylindrus* (cylinder) + Cicindel- stem — referring to cylindrical body form; coined by Westwood 1831.
