DIAGNOSIS — Pogonostoma Klug, 1835 Body medium, elongate with dense dorsal setation (pogon = beard + stoma = mouth). Madagascar endemic.

From Greek *pṓgōn* (beard) + *stóma* (mouth) — referring to distinctive bearded/setose mouth-parts; Madagascar endemic.
