DIAGNOSIS — Thopeutica Schaum, 1861 Body medium, elongate Oriental Cicindelini. Distinguished from Cylindera and related genera by aedeagal morphology.

Etymology

Greek thopeutos (one who ambushes, lies in wait), referring to the predatory hunting behavior; Schaum (1861).
